In wards where HCW is operational we have a dedicated 24-hour, 7 days -a- week proactive patrol by fully trained and experienced officers in a roving patrol vehicle that is constantly on the lookout for suspicious people and activities. This service is significantly enhanced by calls from contributors reporting any suspicious activity If you see any suspicious people or behaviour please report it to the patrol officer in your Ward immediately and request that the Control Room contact you to give you feedback on the incident. Together we can fight crime.

The patrol officer carries a cellphone, the number of which is provided to HCW contributors only. Contributors can call the patrol officer for any emergency or to report any suspicious activity.

You are able to call the patrol vehicle to meet you at your gate when arriving home late at night or if you suspect suspicious activity in and around your home or street and do not wish to enter alone. This service is especially useful to single people and the elderly.

Our patrol officers are able to assess a medical emergency situation and then call for the required assistance.

Crime incidents response |

In conjunction with our contributors who have reported crime incidents we are able to alert our contributors when a trend in crime incidents in a particular area is noticed.

The patrol will react immediately to a call-out from a contributor unless busy with another call-out, when the patrol will request back-up from another vehicle.
Response can be as short as 1 or 2 minutes depending on circumstances.
